Iran’s ‘Weekend’ awarded in US festival

Iranian short film ‘Weekend’ has been awarded at the 2020 edition of KinoDrome International Motion Picture and Screenplay Festival in the US.

Ario Motevaqe’s ‘Weekend’ won the Long-Short film award at the American festival.

‘Weekend’ is about two families who have gone on a picnic, but it was later revealed that they went to the park for another purpose.

KinoDrome “presents the most original independently produced and student-produced short form FILM/VIDEO/TV content from our state of Ohio and from around the world. In addition to motion media, the festival also presents: short, feature-length, and series-pilot SCREENPLAY content”, the event’s website reads.

The 2020 edition of the festival took place online on September 26-27.
